There’s A Bend In the River

There’s a bend in the river —
I know not where it leads;
Where the tinkling water tumbles
Over mossy rocks and weeds;
There’s a bend in the river,
Where the willow weeps —
Watching all the currents
That are spinning in the deeps.

There’s a bend in the river
Where the water turns to glass
After rolling over pebbles,
Hummocks, and green grass.
The bend in the river,
Where dance the water and the sun;
Where silence, soft and beautiful,
Brings peace till day is done.
